Recently I have had the humbling opportunity to start a new job working in the Visual Effects Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been working on various tasks like sky replacement, equipment paint out, additive digital makeup, and even some digital set extensions.
I studied the field of animation and visual effects because I am passionate about animations and visual effects that are created to educate, encourage and uplift.
I hope you will enjoy this short film celebrating the reason for Easter.

Animated History of Aviation
This has been my main project for the last 9 months at UVU Aviation. Last Friday was my last day and I hit render just as I walked out the door.
I hope you will enjoy this piece portraying some of the history of aviation; leading up to were the school is today.
Rob Guest, Preston Powell, Paris Miller, Nathan Stoker, Michael Batie, and Adam Evens also contributed, from planning to rendering; it was definitely a collaborative piece.

Twin Star Landing
When I first finished this render, but boss asked, "Have you rendered this scene yet?" Probably the worst thing any one could say. After Doing some revision and trying a few new things I re-rendered it. When I showed it to my family my brother asked, "Was this shot filmed at the airport?" Probably the nicest thing any one could say to me!!
I know its not perfect but I'm glad to know I'm making progress.

Hindenburg Disaster
I've been trying to get some decent fire for the Hindenburg disaster I've been creating at work. This was a render test that I really liked. I had a co-worker create the silhouette for me, my work is just the fire.

Wind Tunnel Lighting
Here are a few stills from a `history of aviation` animation I'm doing.
It was modeled and textured by Preston Powell. I tweaked some of the shaders and did the lighting. I also simulated the fluid effect smoke stream.
What do you think?

More From Humbugs
For the first two images, the far left is the concept art I had to go off of. Then the subsequent images is what I came up with. They desperately need to be posed... that is soon to come
This is a close up with the fur that I also have been working on.

Make it Large Please
Not that I'm trying to bring back old work, but at work they asked me to "up-res" a shot from my WWII work. So I thought I would post it here as well, there's nothing cooler than larger-than-HD footage! ENJOY
